Guidelines of the NSSC

Full sized view

  Norman Scroll Slaver Caste

1. Any accepted member into the NSSC will take an Oath of Honor, this Oath will be given to the not only the Caste, but to the Laws of Gor to ensure that the slaver undoubtedly will uphold to his/her word of honor.

2. Only the High Council will take an Oath of Honor as well as an Oath of Blood to the NSSC to be given to the Caste, the Laws of Gor, and the blessing of chain luck. So honor will always reign with those that hold these Chairs.

3. Males are allowed one full vote

Females are allowed no vote

4. Any female slavers of the NSSC will abide by these guidelines as they are non negotiable as they follow within the limits of the laws of Gor:

A.) Responsible for training of the slaves

B.) Boarding of the slaves

C.) Buying and selling within the limits of the city in which she resides

D.) Female slavers will also except any willing slave for collaring that is willingly submitting to her authority.

It is, on the whole, too dangerous for the female slaver. There is danger that they might be added to the catch by their men.

Leaving field work excluded from their duties. It is for this reason that a female slaver is not allowed chairs upon the High Council.

5. Any NSSC member who allows their SN and/or profile to be removed ,without giving proper notification, for a minimum of 7 mun days will be placed as inactive. Shall they return between the 8th and 10th day, it will be up to the High Council to decide upon the replacement of the active status. On the 11th day, will be considered abandoning the caste, and upon return within one mun month, that member may have the opportunity to reapply once again, within the NSSC as a new member.

Having once been a member of the NSSC and the decision comes that a return is warranted for any reason, the NSSC plays no favoritism. Any SN and/or profile made inactive for more than 30 days MUST reapply, there will be no logs of the past to be reviewed by the High Council to reinstate. The Oaths WILL be remade. If the same slaver name is desired, so be it, but it will be considered as a fresh start once again where a new registration number will be granted as the old one went to the city of dust.

6. Any High Council that is inactive for one full mun month will also find no favoritism and will be replaced by a majority vote upon the call of the quickest means of an emergency meeting that will decide the replacement by a general election of majority votes.

7. All aspiring slavers must submit an application to the NSSC upon entry. Upon their application, it can be found by the High Council to decide to call the applicant before at least one of the High Council or one of their representatives for an oral interview before acceptance into the NSSC is granted. Any aspiring slaver that is in the application process that has been denied due to faultfinding, grievances, or due to the lack of majority votes, may reapply once more after a 15 day period. Any NSSC member that has been found guilty of breaking any of the Caste laws and/or Gorean laws placed on punishment due to dereliction will be placed on suspension that could last up to 30 mun days, until they can be reinstated back into the NSSC. The length of days will be determined due to the nature of the their crime. In turn of such an event, the slaver may also be subjected to a demotion depending on the infraction.

8. Any member of the NSSC agrees that any situation they allow their char to be involved in holds to the value of rp respected guidelines of no mun consent, and accepts the fact that what may come to pass is non negotiable, this includes but does not exclude other possibilities: eg: Accepting to render aid in War time, AA's that may be contracted upon chars, challenges of DMs and HMs, etc. If you accept such challenges, it is your right. As a slaver, who falls in the sub caste of a merchant, would not make much sense to accept such challenges as there is no gain of profit to be made. Many a merchant has declined situations and refuse to pick a sword up, it comes only to reason, that being of the sub caste, the slaver may do such and still maintain honor, choosing only to use a blade, lance to protect when forced. The decision lays into the slaver's hands, and will not be backed by the NSSC.

9. It is highly recommended that Power Tools for AOL is used; or the log manager of AOL when a slaver initiates into any action, be it hunting, collaring, selling, buying, etc. It is the slaver's responsibility to keep his/her own logs, and to seek in a situation that may go awry others who are currently present in the room for their logs as well in case dispute is brought before the Caste. Logs that show just the fundamental basic acknowledgement of a collaring may find amongst the NCCS dispute when presented, why it is suggested, that you log the hunt that led to the capture.

10. There are many reasons a free person can be collared, it is a legal action that can be taken. Both parties that allow the full capture to follow through, have consented and mun views are of no consequence at this point. If the free that was captured decides to pull mun consent, there is one action to take if the logs show the prey has played through... notice of death sent to the Chronicle, observed by NSSC the player no longer exists. Collaring of a free person must have a legal base or a contract in hand. Remember if you break the laws of Gor, do not get caught, for the Caste will be forced to act upon the evidence proving this.

11. Any registered member and their captures, current slaves, mates, must be of the Mun age of 18, as Gor is a venue of adult rp where objectionable material may be introduce to the influential minds of children. As well to maintain the maturity of the OOC. We do NOT advocate nor tolerate sexual play with ANY minors. PERIOD! Being an Adult game this is Adult role play an all characters must be of the appropriate age to match aka over 18 in game over 21 in mental spirit, the reason for this is that Gor is of a sexual nature mostly, not overt but it is a sexual game.

The exception to this rule of course is playing a child character, but even then you must remember to play with an adult's good common sense. Children are not sex toys and we all know this so it should not be condoned in the game.

12. Every 8 mun months a vote of all registered members, male and female, have the opportunity to vote on the High Council and the Master at Arms. Any position other than these, will be filled on volunteered mun time to those dedicated to the position and the education required to fill the position.

13. All members of the caste shall present a log to show the proper training of their slave. This log will include a standard serve and a pacing through five position. This shall be practiced and performed on every newly acquired slave, whether claiming trained or not.

~DICE~

14. New Applying slavers to the caste during the application review will be given caste dice as follows Male 2 D 21 Female 2 D 20 upon acceptance as full members of the caste the dice are raised too Male 2 D 22 Female 2 D 21 +1 when on mount

15. Women of the caste do not participate in contract captures, fieldwork, or combat, thus dice remain at 2 d 21 , whereas only escape dice would be raised to 2 d 23.

(Males only) 2 d 22 Combat

(Males only) 2 d 23 Capture/Detainment

(Male) 2 D 24 Escape

(Female)2 D 21 Combat

(Female) 2 d 23 Escape

16. While it is a true fact slavers don't possess the same skills as warriors and assassins, slavers posses highly specialized skills and are not without fighting abilities, 2 d 22 and 2 d 23 respectively is within reason in relation to the above mentioned areas of expertise. It is also noted female slavers do not participate in field work, contract captures or combat.
